After a long day tubing or perhaps at Schlitterbahn, you may be looking for a decent place to sleep in New Braunfels. Luckily there are several New Braunfels TX hotels to choose from.

There are some very interesting hotels in New Braunfels, like The Faust Hotel.

If you prefer a more mainstream hotel, there are several “chain” hotels in New Braunfels too.

Either way, you should be able to find very nice New Braunfels hotel to stay over in.

New Braunfels TX Hotels

Sleep Inn & Suites

First up is the Sleep Inn & Suites.

It is located on the I-35 frontage road. This close highway access makes it easy to get to cities like San Antonio in the south, and San Marcos in the north.

The Sleep Inn & Suites is also close to New Braunfels attractions like Landa Park and Schlitterbahn.

With free breakfast, a very nice swimming pool, and a hot tub, this is a great hotel for families. The Sleep Inn & Suites also has free Wifi. Each room has a refrigerator, microwave, and LCD TV.

La Quinta Inn & Suites

The La Quinta Inn & Suites is another great hotel in New Braunfels.

It is also located close to I-35, but is slightly further away than the Sleep Inn & Suites.

A Chili’s restaurant is just a short walk away. So is Oma’s Haus restaurant.

If you’ve stayed in another La Quinta hotel before, you know more or less what to expect. This New Braunfels hotel has a nice pool and hot tub. It also has free breakfast and Wifi.

If you travel with your animals, this is a pet-friendly hotel.

Hill Country RV Resort & Cottage Rentals

If you want something different, take a look at the Hill Country RV Resort & Cottage Rentals. (Yes, it’s not strictly a hotel, but it is a nice place to stay.)

Other than RV stands, they have nicely furnished cottages that each have a kitchenette. Having a kitchenette is really helpful to make quick snacks and other meals.

The cottages also have barbecue grills and picnic tables outside.

The Hill Country Resort has two heated indoor pools and hot tubs, a fitness facility, a game room, and some other activities to keep everyone happy.

Hampton Inn & Suites

The Hampton Inn & Suites is another great choice when looking for New Braunfels TX hotels.

It is located on the same road as the La Quinta (Hwy 46), but is a little further away from I-35 if the potential of highway noise bothers you.

The hotel is also located next door to Oma’s Haus if you feel like enjoying some of the local German food.

The Hampton Inn offers free breakfast. It also has a nice fitness center to help you ease your guilty conscience over the good time you had at Oma’s Haus the previous night   

The rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly too.

As most hotels have these days, this hotel has free Wifi and a great pool.

These are some great hotels to get you started when looking for accommodation for your vacation. They should offer you all you need, but if you want to look at a few more hotels before deciding, here are some more New Braunfels TX hotels.

Need to look at some Fredericksburg Texas hotels? I like Fredericksburg as a weekend-getaway.

It could be either just me and my wife, or we take the kids along. Either way, we usually sleep there are least one night.

Luckily Fredericksburg has many options for lodging. There are several bed-and-breakfasts and hotels to choose from. We have stayed in both types of lodging.

To help you find a hotel that you’ll like, here are our favorite… 

Fredericksburg Texas Hotels

Hangar Hotel

The Hangar Hotel is certainly a unique hotel that you won’t find at many places.

It is located at the Fredericksburg airport, which is about 2 miles outside town.  

The Hangar Hotel is beautifully decorated and takes you back to the 1940s with its decor. From the outside it looks like a World War II airplane hangar.

We have stayed in the Hangar Hotel several times and it was very good every time. It is fun to have breakfast while watching planes land or take off.

Keep in mind that the hotel does not have a pool. If that doesn’t bother you, give it a try. It is something different!

Inn on Barons Creek

The Inn on Barons Creek is another of our favorite Federicksburg Texas hotels.

It is a beautiful hotel that is so nicely decorated!

They have a very nice, heated pool. They offer a free, full breakfast. They even have a full service spa. Like most other hotels, they have internet access available. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

The Inn on Baron’s Creek is really a magnificent place and I’m sure you’ll have a great stay there.

La Quinta Inn & Suites Fredericksburg

The La Quinta Inn & Suites is a good hotel in Fredericksburg too.

If you’ve stayed in La Quinta hotels before, you know more or less what to expect. This La Quinta is no different.

It offers free breakfast, free internet, and has a fitness center and nice pool. Pets are welcome too.

If don’t mind a little drive out of Frederickbsurg and want a different experience, take a look at Quiet Hill Ranch. It is about 25 miles out Fredericksburg and will take about 30 minutes to reach.

There are of course a handful of other good Fredericksburg hotels too. Here is a list of other hotels in Frederickburg Texas if you want to look at a few more choices.

There are many Galveston hotels to choose from.

Afterall, Galveston is an island that relies on vacationers for a big part of its income!

Galveston is not a very big island. Much of what you will do there will be fairly close to each other.

That includes hotels and our favorite things to do in Galveston.

Here are some excellent Galveston hotels for you to consider… 

Galveston Hotels

Harbor House

The Harbor House is a good choice. It is located on the channel side of the island, at Pier 21. From here you can easily walk to downtown Galveston and The Strand.

This location also makes it very convenient for access to cruise ships.

They also have boat slips available for rental if you decide to visit Galveston by boat.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with a lot of character, and very nicely furnished. Their staff are very friendly too.

 Casa Del Mar Beachfront Suites

If you would like an ocean view, try the Casa Del Mar Beachfront Suites, located on Seawall Blvd. You walk across the road and you’re on the beach!

The rooms are really nice and come with a kitchenette, which is handy for families who have kid-tummies to keep full.

The Casa Del Mar also has a nice pool for when you feel like cooling off, but don’t want to go to the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful.

It is also very close to a Golden Corral restaurant, which has always been a favorite with my family!

The Casa Del Mar costs a little more, but the location is great and I think it is worth it.

Quality Inn & Suites

Just a short distance away from the Casa Del Mar, is The Quality Inn & Suites, also on Seawall Blvd and also just across the road from the beach.

The Quality Inn has an indoor pool and hot tub. It also has free breakfast and internet access.

The rooms are big and comfortable. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

The price for the Quality Inn is very reasonable too. I think the Quality Inn is worth checking out.

There are of course several other good Galveston hotels. These are only three of our favorites. If you would like to look at a few more hotels, check out this list of hotels in Galveston to find other options.

There are many Fort Worth hotels to choose from. Which one you choose probably depends on why you are going to Fort Worth, and how much money you are willing to spend.

Our focus is on vacations, so we look at hotels in Fort Worth that would be great for vacationers. This usually means that the hotels need to be close to Fort Worth attractions.

Our favorite Fort Worth hotels below are all close to things to do in Fort Worth to avoid having to drive around too much. 

Fort Worth Hotels

Stockyards Hotel

If you’re planning to visit the Fort Worth Stockyards and you would like to stay as close as possible to the Stockyards, you have two great choices to consider.

The Stockyards Hotel is just a few yards inside the entrance to the Stockyards. That’s about as close to the action as you can get!

This is an older hotel that gives you that “old west” feeling, which is fantastic considering that you are in the Stockyards. Despite being older, the hotel is still well-maintained.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and their staff are very friendly. The Stockyards Hotel is definitely worth considering.

Hyatt Place Fort Worth Historic Stockyards

The Hyatt Place Ft. Worth Historic Stockyards is the other hotel that is also right in the Stockyards. It is located behind the Stockyards Visitors Center.

The hotel is fairly new and in great shape. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are also very friendly.

The Hyatt Place has a nice pool, which is great on a hot day in Fort Worth. It’s very handy to go cool off in the pool for a little while before continuing your day’s activities in the Stockyards.

The more economical La Quinta Inn and Suites Fort Worth North and Hilton Garden Inn Fort Worth North are both only a short drive from the Stockyards.

Renaissance Worthington Hotel

If you’d like to stay in downtown Fort Worth and be near Sundance Square, I like the Renaissance Worthington Hotel.

It is more expensive, but it is a very beautiful and comfortable hotel. The hotel staff give excellent customer service.

The hotel has a great indoor pool, a hot tub, and fitness center.

A great bonus with the Renaissance Worthington is the great views of Fort Worth, especially if you stay on one of the higher floors.

Springhill Suites Fort Worth University

To stay near the Fort Worth Zoo, I like the Springhill Suites Fort Worth University.

The staff are great and the rooms are clean. The free breakfast is very good too.

The hotel also has a very nice outdoor pool and a fitness center.

The kitchenettes are useful is you need to make a snack for the kids without heading out to a restaurant.

If you’re looking for something a little more economical and that is also close to the Fort Worth Zoo, take a look at the Fairfield Inn Fort Worth University Drive.

These hotels give you some nice choices, but if you would look to look at more hotels before deciding, here is a list of other great hotels in Fort Worth.

There are many Corpus Christi hotels to choose from. It is a beach vacation destination after all.

When we go traveling, I try to find hotels that are close to the things we want to do in that city.

It is also really nice if there are decent restaurants to choose from that also close to the hotel.

The Corpus Christi hotels that I have chosen below are close to our favorite things to do in Corpus Christi. 

Corpus Christi Hotels

Staybridge Suites Corpus Christi

The Staybridge Suites Corpus Christi is located close to TX-358 about halfway between downtown Corpus Christi and North Padre Island.

This makes it ideally located to cover the things to do in both of those locations. It also means that there are several good restaurants close by.

The Staybridge has a nice pool and a fitness center, among other things. The rooms have kitchenettes, which makes it ideal if you would like to prepare a few meals in the room.

The Staybridge is more intended for “extended stay”, but if you’re going to be on vacation for a week and need a great hotel, this is one of the best choices among Corpus Christi hotels.

 Comfort Suites North Padre Island

For our summer family vacations, I prefer to stay in a hotel near the North Padre Island beaches.

For that reason, I like the Comfort Suites North Padre Island on Windward Drive. It is just across the street from the beach.

The Comfort Suites has a great pool for days when want to swim, but not go to the beach. It also has a nice hot tub that we like in the evenings.

Room have kitchenettes, which are handy if you want to make the kids a snack, but don’t want to go to a restaurant.

Holiday Inn Corpus Christi – North Padre Island

If you would like to stay right on the beach, the best choice is the Holiday Inn Corpus Christi – North Padre Island. You can walk right onto the beach from the hotel!

This hotel used to be a SpongeBob-themed Holiday Inn Sunspree, but it has since been revamped.

The hotel has a nice pool with a bar, and in the evenings they often have a live band playing at the bar… great for relaxing with a sun-downer!

These are our favorite hotels in Corpus Christi, but if you want to look at a few others, here is a list of other great Corpus Christi hotels.

South Padre Island hotels are plentiful… Some are more expensive, some are cheaper, some are on the beach, and some are not.

And then there are condos too!

The point is, there are many options to choose from. Not all of them are equally good though.

To help you find a hotel in South Padre Island that you will like, I have put together this list of our favorite South Padre Island hotels and condos. 

South Padre Island Hotels

Holiday Inn Express

A great hotel in South Padre Island is the Holiday Inn Express. It isn’t on the beachfront, but you only have to walk a block or two to get to the beach.

As is usually the case with Holiday Inns, this hotel is clean, rooms are comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a great hot complimentary breakfast!

The hotel has a very nice pool, with a hot tub, and a barbecue grill available outdoors. Inside they have a fitness center and a business center (computers, fax) available for guests.

The Holiday Inn Express is slightly more expensive. Expect to pay around $150 per night during the summer months. Other than that, this is a great hotel!

Super 8 Motel

If price was an issue for you with the Holiday Inn Express, it won’t be an issue with the Super 8 Motel. Here you can expect to pay around $100 per night during the summer. The lower price doesn’t say “bad hotel” though… it is still a great motel.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and some even have kitchenettes, which makes it very nice for families. They allow pets, but be aware that there is a fee for pets.

The Super 8 has a nice pool to help keep everyone cool. They also offer a free continental breakfast.

Comfort Suites

The Comfort Suites is another great South Padre Island hotel that is only a short walk from the beach.

Their rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel has a very nice pool and hot tub if you want to swim, but don’t feel like going to the beach. Like many hotels these days, they provide free internet access.

It is located behind the McDonald’s on Padre Blvd. If you have kids, that’s good news! The Comfort Suites offers a free hot breakfast though.

South Padre Island Condos

Sea Vista Condos

If you’re looking for South Padre Island condos, check out Sea Vista Condos. This would be great for a larger family because the condos sleep around 6 people, something you don’t easily do in a hotel without booking two rooms.

Sea Vista’s condos have full kitchens, which makes it easier to keep hungry tummies full. The facility also has 2 swimming pools, 2 hot tubs, and a tennis court.

Sea Vista is located right next to the beach and is also next to Schlitterbahn waterpark. That I like a lot!

Suntide III Condominiums

The Suntide III Condominiums is another great choice in condos.

The Suntide has an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as an outdoor pool and hot tub. There is a barbecue picnic area and also a tennis and basketball court.

The condos all have full kitchens and they have 2-bedroom/2-bathroom and 3-bedroom/3-bathroom units available.

There is also a wooden walkway that leads directly onto the beach.

Other Hotels or Condos?

If these South Padre Island hotels or condos don’t have vacancies or you want to look at other choices, here is a list of more South Pade Island hotels and condos.

My family and I like to stay in one of the San Antonio Riverwalk hotels when we go to the Riverwalk. To me it seems pointless to stay “out there somewhere” and miss out on the Riverwalk-buzz in the evenings.

Fortunately the hotel owners have also figured out that people would want to sleep in or very near to the Riverwalk. There are now several San Antonio Riverwalk hotels to choose from.

I choose our hotel to stay in based on what the purpose of our trip is, and whether the kids go along or not.

If it is only my wife and I, I like to pick a more romantic hotel that has a balcony with a view over the Riverwalk. If we take the kids along, I’ll pick a hotel that works better for my whole family.

Here are my favorite… 

San Antonio Riverwalk Hotels

Drury Inn and Suites Riverwalk

The Drury Inn and Suites Riverwalk is a wonderful hotel right on the Riverwalk! We try to get a room overlooking the Riverwalk.

The kids love the rooftop pool and my wife and I like to relax in the hot tub. Every evening they also have free food and drinks in the lobby.

This is one hotel that lets us stay right on the Riverwalk without breaking the bank!

Riverwalk Vista

The Riverwalk Vista is a charming little hotel right by the Riverwalk.

I like it particularly for romantic trips, like celebrating an anniversary or a honeymoon.

That means we don’t take the kids along…

It is slightly more expensive, but still well under $200 per night. I think it is well worth it!

Homewood Suites Riverwalk

The Homewood Suites Riverwalk has suites only. It is on a quieter section of the Riverwalk, but still provides easy access to everything we like on the Riverwalk.

The suites are very spacious. I think this makes it ideal for families with kids, or even groups of friends. (The added space also means you’ll pay slightly more, but not much more.)

The Homewood Suites Riverwalk also has a small rooftop pool and a hot tub. If your kids love swimming as much as mine, any pool is a handy feature!

Holiday Inn Express San Antonio North

My kids think the Holiday Inn Express San Antonio North (formerly Comfort Inn Alamo Riverwalk) is very cool!

Why?… It used to be the Bexar county jail! So it has character and history!

It has everything my family and I need… comfortable rooms… pool… nice complimentary breakfast.

The Holiday Inn Express San Antonio North isn’t right on the Riverwalk, but it is only about 5 blocks away. It also has a price that I like if I want to save a little money, but still be close to the Riverwalk.

I think you will have a great time at any of our favorite San Antonio Riverwalk hotels!

Unless you have family to stay with, you’ll be looking for Port Aransas lodging at some point during your vacation planning.

Sometimes it can be a hit and miss with hotels and you want everyone to have a nice vacation.

So you want to avoid a not-so-good hotel.

To help you find decent Port Aransas lodging, here are some of our favorite hotels and condos in Port Aransas. 

Port Aransas Hotels

Holiday Inn Express

The Holiday Inn Express hotel is one of my favorites. We have stayed there three times.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a fitness room and a room with computers for guests’ use, as well as free WiFi. The outdoor pool is very nice and they also have a great hot tub.

Their complimentary breakfasts are really good and that means one meal for each day is taken care of.

The Holiday Inn is not located right on the beach, but it is close enough that we walk to the beach.

Captain’s Quarters Inn

The Captain’s Quarters Inn is another fine Port Aransas hotel.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and all have microwaves. The outdoor pool is very nice. If you go fishing, they have a freezer available for your catch, and they have a grilling and eating area. They also have free WiFi.

The Captain’s Quarters Inn is not near the beach, but it is right across the road from the city marina and you can walk to several bars and restaurants.

Amelia’s Landing Hotel

The Amelia’s Landing Hotel (formerly Harbor Inn) is a good hotel to look at too. They are also not right on the beach, but they are walking distance from several restaurants and bars.

Amelia’s Landing is an aviation-themed hotel (the owners are pilots) and many of the hotel’s amenities are based on that theme. They have a nice pool, hot tub, and free WiFi, just like some of the other hotels, but they offer one thing that you won’t find everywhere… breakfast in your room.

They also have a gas grill available at the pool if you want to do your own thing for dinner.

Port Aransas Condos

Sandcastle Resort Condominiums

When it comes to Port Aransas condos, I like the Sandcastle Resort Condominiums, which is within short walking distance of the beach.

You’re going to pay more for a condo, but this place is really nice! They have a huge pool, hot tub, tennis courts, a workout room, and even a room for cleaning fish.

The condos are 1, 2, or 3-bedroom and have a complete kitchen. The kitchen helps a lot of you are a large family or perhaps 2 families and you’re trying to keep everyone fed.

The Courtyard Condominiums

The Courtyard Condominiums is also a great choice among Port Aransas condos.

They have a nice pool and a picnic area with 3 barbecues. They also have a basketball court, area for playing horseshoes, and a fish cleaning station.

The condos have a living room and kitchen and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

The Courtyard Condominiums are also only a short walk from the beach, which is very convenient.

Looking for Houston Texas hotels? There are many hotels in Houston to pick from, that’s for sure!

I usually like our hotel to be close to attractions that we want to visit.

Since we also usually travel with our kids, it is great if the hotel has a nice pool too.

Here are our favorite Houston Texas hotels that are also located within reasonable distance of Houston attractions… 

Crowne Plaza Suites Houston Sugar Land

First on my list of favorite hotels in Houston is the Crowne Plaza Suites Houston Sugar Land.

It is a beautiful hotel with clean, comfortable rooms, a magnificent pool, hot tub, exercise room, and wonderful hospitality. It also has a nice restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

The Crowne Plaza located in Sugar Land, which means it is a short distance away from attractions near downtown Houston, but it is located right next to Hwy 59 (Southwest Freeway), so access to downtown Houston is quite easy.

If you like a round of golf while on vacation, the Crowne Plaza is located next to the Westwood Country Club.

Super 8 IAH West/Greenspoint

The next good Houston hotel to consider is the Super 8 IAH West/Greenspoint.

It is located north of downtown Houston, and is a good choice if you’re planning a visit to SplashTown as well as attractions near downtown Houston… it is about in the middle of the two locations. It is also near the airport, with easy access to Beltway 8.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and in addition to a TV and free WiFi, they include a microwave and refrigerator, which is useful if you have kids.

The hotel offers really good value that includes a great breakfast… I particularly like the sausage with biscuits & gravy. It also has rooms available that include a Jacuzzi! The outdoor pool is very nice too!

Econo Lodge at NASA

If you’re planning on going to NASA, the Econo Lodge at NASA is a good choice. It is also only about 20 minutes’ drive away from the Kemah Boardwalk.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, and include refrigerators, microwaves and free WiFi. The hotel also has a nice outdoor pool. The staff are friendly too.

Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for your money!

Drury Inn and Suites Houston Hobby

The Drury Inn and Suites Houston Hobby is located near Hobby airport and puts you about halfway between NASA and downtown Houston.

If you like free food at a hotel, this is the place to go. Not only do they have a hot breakfast, but also a free evening event called Kickback where they serve mac & cheese, hotdogs, chicken strips, and more!

The rooms are really nice… beautifully furnished and spacious! They all have refrigerators, microwaves, and free WiFi. The hotel has an indoor/outdoor pool and whirlpool too.

The Drury Inn is reasonably priced and offers great value!

Crowne Plaza Houston River Oaks

The Crowne Plaza Houston River Oaks is located near downtown Houston, which means it is near attractions like the Houston Zoo and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It is also close to the Houston Galleria Mall.

The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. All also have refrigerators, microwaves, and free WiFi. The pool is really nice too!

The Crowne Plaza also has a restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Rooms typically go for around $100 per night and up, and the hotel offers all that we typically need, and more.

Other Houston Texas Hotels?

My kids love staying in hotels, and if we’re talking about hotels near Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, even better!

As you can probably imagine, there are several hotels near Fiesta Texas.

It is afterall one of the biggest attractions for families in San Antonio.

Our favorites are… 

Best Western Fiesta Inn

The Best Western Fiesta Inn is my favorite of the hotels near Six Flags in San Antonio.

This is a 2-star hotel that I think is great for families with children. It is only 2 miles away from Six Flags, so if the kids start nagging, “C’mon, let’s go…”, you know relief is only 2 miles away!

If you get back to the hotel after a long day at Six Flags and the kids want to swim some more, the Best Western has a very nice pool.

When it’s time for dinner, there are several nice restaurants nearby, like Chili’s and Carrabba’s.

This Best Western was a TripAdvisor “Certificate of Excellence” winner in 2013.

Hampton Inn San Antonio/Six Flags

The Hampton Inn San Antonio/Six Flags is another hotel near Fiesta Texas that I like.

It is also a 2-star hotel that is about 4 miles away from Six Flags, which is still close enough in my mind.

It also has a nice pool. I like the comfortable beds a lot!

Super 8 Motel Six Flags San Antonio

The last hotel I want to point you to is the Super 8 Motel Six Flags San Antonio, especially if you are slightly more budget-conscious.

It is a 2-star hotel with a pool, and is about 2 miles away from Six Flags.

The nice thing about these hotels is that it is quite easy to get from them to Six Flags. Simply go north on Hwy 87 (I-10) and take the Fiesta Texas/Six Flags exit immediately after Loop 1604.

When looking at hotels, I like to keep the old saying, “you get what you pay for”, in mind. I don’t like spending $300 per night, but I also know that I probably won’t get much for $20 per night either. I think somewhere around $50 to $120 per night is reasonable for hotels near Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.

I think you and your family will have a great time at any of these hotels!
