If you’re looking for hotels in downtown Dallas Texas, I can show you a few great choices to look at. They all offer good value!
Due to their location, you should typically expect to pay more for downtown Dallas hotels than you would for other hotels in Dallas that are further out from downtown Dallas.
These downtown Dallas hotels are located near the big convention centers, which is probably one of the primary reasons why you would pick a downtown hotel.

I don’t like driving endless miles from one Dallas attraction to another, so I like to choose hotels that are located as central as possible to our favorite things to do in Dallas. Dallas is big, so you still have to do some driving though!

In my opinion, a Bed & Breakfast is more ideally suited to couples wanting a quiet, romantic getaway without the kids.
I found that there aren’t near as many Bed & Breakfasts around as there are hotels, so it is a little harder to find a good B&B that offers good value.

Finding a good bed and breakfast in Austin is not very difficult at all.
There are more than twenty bed and breakfasts in Austin and several of them provide a great stay.
Bed and Breakfasts are often more expensive than hotels, but in return, most of them offer something special that you are unlikely to get at hotels.
Nevertheless, to keep it affordable, I have picked some reasonably-priced bed and breakfasts that are also highly-rated.

If you’re looking for an Austin resort, there are a couple of options to consider.
Austin lies at the foothills of the Texas Hill Country, and with several lakes in the area, the rolling hills make Austin perfect for great golf courses and resorts.
I think these Austin resorts offer beautiful surroundings, a great atmosphere, and quiet relaxation that can compete with some of the best resorts out there.
If you’re going to Amarillo and you’re not staying with family, as is our case, you’re going to need a hotel. Fortunately there are several great Amarillo Texas hotels to choose from.
To our kids, a hotel with a pool is essential. Let’s face it, you’re going to get tired along the way and will want to relax at the hotel at times. Having a pool available keeps everybody happy.
It also helps to manage vacation costs if the hotel offers a fairly decent breakfast. That way, everybody is fed when you head out for the day and your first stop doesn’t always have to be a breakfast restaurant.

The Faust Hotel in New Braunfels is actually a historical landmark and is over 100 years old. It has period furniture and a rich history.
Some even say it is haunted!
The Faust is a nice and clean hotel, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms have wireless internet, flatscreen TVs, and even Keurig coffee machines.
The Quiet Hill Ranch is a little piece of heaven that is the most family friendly place our gang has ever been to.
The little log cottage, although not large, was tastefully decorated with original paintings, beamed ceilings and had many other amenities.
The view… it looks over this big valley with the hills coming down each side and it was spellbinding. At night there were only 4 lights in the far distance and at 2100′ elevation the stargazing around our campfire was awesome.
