Most people know Dallas as the best place to get a steak in America, as the area boasts a rich tradition of cattle raising and cowboy life.
But in Dallas, as in most of Texas, they are somehow bigger and better. Nature enthusiasts can go for a bike ride or hike through several world class parks, including White Rock.
The Dallas Cowboys are known as “America’s team.” They play in the largest Stadium in America, which is a wonder itself.
Visit the massive Dallas Art Museum to view permanent collections of African, European and American art or special exhibitions.
The city is also big on children’s attractions, making it a popular destination for families. Spend the morning at the Zoo and then head over to the Aquarium for a marine life extravaganza.
History buffs won’t want to miss the Sixth Floor Museum, an exhibition pertaining to the life and assassination of John F. Kennedy. As in most world-class cities, Dallas offers a range of accommodations from grand historic hotels to budget digs.
The city’s restaurants may differ in price and cuisine but the portions are always – you guessed it – large. As Texas is the largest continental American state, and Dallas is the largest city, if you want a true feeling of what America is like, visit Dallas. You will not regret it.
