Are you wondering what happened to a page that used to be on our old website (www.fun-things-texas.com) and that you can’t find now?
During the transition from our old site to this site, we had a critical look at all of the pages on the old site. The goal was to see if there were pages that didn’t fit into the model for our new site.
And there were a handful of pages that we felt had become obsolete in their existing form.
So we decided to remove them, at least temporarily. Some may come back later, or incorporated into new sections.
These pages include:
- The Weather pages – statistics showed that few people ever visited those pages.
- Best Travel Deals – this may return in a different format and incorporated throughout the site.
- Cheap Tickets – will likely be incorporated into our Events section.
- Free Website Tools – the tool that we provided depended on a Google technology that they terminated.
- Share Fun-Things-Texas.com – there are social share buttons on all pages. These is no need to dedicate a page to social sharing.
- Vacation Planning Resources – obsolete… this entire website is a vacation planning resource.
- Texas Fun Lovers – our old newsletter signup page. It is no longer needed because our email signups have taken a different shape.
All other pages on our old site were moved to this new site. Use the site search tools to find any of your favorites.
