We got WIRED in Canton, Texas! That’s right… we had flew through the air on the Wired zip lines in Canton!
I’ve always been a fan of the monthly flea market in Canton. We’ve been a few times a year ever since the kids were in strollers.

Now that they are teenagers, it gets harder to find fun things to do that we can all enjoy together.
While visiting Canton this past November we noticed the zip line across from the First Monday Trade Days. The kids were all for trying it, but I was a bit hesitant as I’m not too sure about high places. I must tell you how much fun we had.
We all had to do practice zips before going out on the course and the guides were very patient and encouraging. Any fears I had dissolved after my first zip. It was a smooth ride that made me feel like I was flying.
Both my 17 year old son and my 15 year old daughter loved the experience. The guides with our group were very safety minded and gave us tips on how to ride better and faster.
The zip line has four long zips broken up by two wooden bridges and several areas to climb up. It took us a little over an hour from beginning to end. All in all it was a great adventure that really added to our day of shopping.
We are planning to make another visit to Canton this spring and will be sure to stop by the zip line.

I have also zipped the Wired course. This course consists of 4 zip lines that basically just went in a square pattern over a open field that doubles as a parking lot during First Monday. I had a good time though and then decided to find more zip lines in Texas. I ran across the New York, Texas Zip Line Adventures, actually they were the first course built in East Texas. It was AWESOME!! The course was much more exciting to Zip on and the knowledge of the guides and owners made us feel more at ease with the overall experience. The views from on top of the mountain in which it is built were spectacular. I highly recommend this course for a more thrilling zip line experience.
